We have produced for various Museum and Exhibition Installation spaces, a series of historically themed artworks created to appear as authentic as possible. This usually involves a heavy reliance on hand illustrated elements to demonstrate the traditional craftsmanship of the time.
Examples Shown Above & Below: Medieval Tapestry style wall hangings (measuring 2000 x 2800mm) printed onto canvas from the King Richard III Visitor Centre, Leicester.
The above shows a Family Tree of the Kings of England, where King Richard III fits in to and how it divides between the Houses of York and Lancaster.
This is how the tapestry appears in situ. The tapestry shown below is a map demonstrating the key battle sites from the Wars of the Roses.
Below: Medieval style woodcut White and Blue Boar pub signs for the King Richard III Visitor Centre, Leicester.
Below: Medieval stained glass style light box displays (measuring 2000mm high) for the Eilean Donan Castle visitors museum.
Below: Hand painted 15th Century style illuminated manuscript border for The Royal Armouries Agincourt promotional brochure. The first images show the layered effects being hand painted onto a work in progress, whilst the lower images show the finished artwork.
